I had so much fun with this portrait commission that I did for a client in Israel. The theme was Moshav life and I wanted to create a rich and colorful image that reflects all the goodness of the diverse produce that is grown with love and care in the soil in Israel. I discovered that the national bird of Israel is the hoopoe! For this image I spent a long time researching vintage fonts to find beautiful, ornate, vintage font inspiration so that I could create decorative lettering elements to spell out the name. I used Adobe Photoshop for the collage layering and imported the file into Procreate for creating the lettering and portrait of the beautiful Tamar.
